Le Génie de la Liberté is a gilded bronze sculpture by Auguste Dumont in 1836. It sits on the July column, Place de la Bastille, in Paris.

At a height of 4 meters, it has crowned the July column since 1836, the date of its order and delivery. Allegorical statue representing Liberty in masculine features, it represents a winged genius who holds in the right hand a torch and the left the broken chains of despotism, while soaring in the air from his left foot.
