The Palais-Royal Garden has been built in the 17th century (1633) at the request of Cardinal Richelieu. It is located close to the Louvre in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, and now houses the Council of State, the Constitutional Council and the Ministry of Culture. Surrounded by about 180 elegant arches, this garden is very quiet and peaceful square of almost two hectares, redesigned by Le Nôtre in 1674. This garden is moreover certified as “Remarkable Garden” with the said label created in 2004.
